Templestowe College
Templestowe College features a diverse mix of buildings ranging from older brick structures to modern learning spaces each presenting its own engineering considerations. Ecologiq conducted structural inspections to determine safe mounting opportunities, identify reinforcement needs and assess roof behaviour under wind and uplift loads typical of Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
Electrical assessments involved navigating a spread-out switchboard network, balancing multiple feeder points and ensuring solar integration did not interfere with high-use educational spaces such as labs, performance areas and specialist learning rooms. Cable-routing strategies were developed to minimise visual impact and avoid student traffic zones.
Working closely with the installation contractor, Ecologiq provided precise engineering direction to ensure a compliant, safe and durable solar system suited to the school’s evolving infrastructure and high daily utilisation.
